This was the tragic occurrence that Heather Clark had to go through in 2013 when her seven month old, Lukas, passed away. Despite being overwhelmed with heartbreak, Heather made the empowering decision to donate her son’s organs, in hopes that they might make a difference in the lives of other families in need.
Lukas’ organs have done just that, helping to save three lives, including that of Jordan Drake, a little girl who was born with a congenital heart defect. Without a donor, Jordan, much like Lukas, would have faced a tragic ending far too soon. Thankfully, Heather’s decision changed the course of her life for the better.
Now, more than three years later, Heather has been given the opportunity to meet Jordan, as well as her mother, Esther, and to hear the working heartbeat of her late child. The entire experience is shown in this very touching video put together by CNN.
