The guys at ASAP look at intuition in this short, interesting video, and share when you should trust your gut – and when you should go with more systematic thinking. They quote several studies, are probably going to surprise you as to when your intuition works best.
One consistent finding? That your body and subconscious mind determine patterns of experience much more quickly than your rational mind, so yes, your gut (or body) often does know better and more quickly than your conscious self.
