How To Step Into Your Truth & Purpose and Be Free

The name of your throat chakra is “visuddha” which means “purity.” Your 5^th chakra is the first of your upper, more spiritually-oriented chakras, so it represents the beginning of a whole new level of truth, purpose and service to the world.

This chakra begins truly developing when we reach age 29, which also happens to be the time of the great “Saturn Return” that all astrologers talk about.

The Saturn return is about growing up, taking responsility and finding your true calling; your raison d’etre. Personally, I belief that the most deeply fulfilling aspects of life are related to your throat chakra, so I love its lessons.

Here are 3 Key Life Lessons of Your Throat Chakra

Lesson #1: Keep Your Vows

The throat chakra is about your communication. It invites you to take everything you say up to the next level of impeccability. It is the highest masculine chakra, so it harmonizes with the other masculine chakras, the root and solar plexus.

Together, your odd-numbered chakras create a trifecta (like stepping stones) of outer world success. Your 5^th chakra states an intention, your 3^rd chakra takes action on that intention, and your 1^st chakra then manifests that intention into reality.

The bottom line is this: when you keep your vows, you are successful in your worldly endeavors.

There are basically two steps to take if you want to be better at keeping your vows:

First, Be more cautious with what promises you make. Don’t just throw a vow out lightly. Make sure it’s something you can and want to do.

Second, make keeping our word really important. If it’s very important, you will be more inspired to follow through on it. If it doesn’t matter, you won’t follow through. It’s as simple as that.

Lesson #2: Your Passion is Your Purpose

Many of us like to make our life purpose into some big mystery. It’s not. It’s actually very simple to figure out what your purpose is. Just ask yourself:

~ What do I love to do?

~What am I good at?

~ Out of the things I love to do and am good at, which ones help people the most?

Voila! Instant life purpose.

Granted, you may have to dig a little and find your particular niche, but it is definitely in there.

Lesson #3: The Truth Will Set You Free

This one’s my favorite! I know it sounds cliché, but clichés become clichés because they’re so true.

So why does telling the truth set you free?

The first and most obvious (but less evolved) reason is that it frees you from having to keep track of your lies and cover your own butt over and over again — which can be exhausting.

Here’s a much more powerful reason: as you tell the truth (from the core of your being!), everything false begins to fall away.

We humans often lie ourselves into miserable situations. We tell “white lies” to people to stay in situations (like a relationship) or to get into situations (like a new job) that, deep down, we don’t even want to be in!

Be who you really are, and say what you really mean (filtered through your powerful heart chakra, of course) , and everything in your life from your job to your home, to you life partner will be a great fit for you, because your truth will cut through all the bullcrap in your life.

So there you have it, three great lessons of your throat chakra. Why not make this week, truth serum week and begin to create a life that really fits you?
