Video Source: Russell Brand
In this episode of the Trews, Russell Brand looks at the crazy year that was 2016. From Trump to Pokemon GO, Brexit to Honey G, he comments on highlights from Google's top searches of the year.
Why Google? Because nothing shows the real interests of the world, like Google. When we have a question, we usually go to Google.
And because Russell used Google searches as his criteria for what was big in 2016, this is more of a socio-cultural review than a political or philosophical one. Don’t expect anything to deep here, except at the end, where Russell quickly rattles off several tips for how you can accept yourself as you are. They are:
- Love yourself; you’re doing okay.
- Make a good inventory of the things you’ve done in the past (take responsibility for them).
- Make amends for those things (if they were wrong or hurtful to others).
- Recognize the patterns that you keep repeating that give you problems and try to move beyond them.
- Have faith in a Higher Power (that is not Google).
Happy New Year!
