Are You on the Path to Find Your Passion?

We all want to feel like we have found our passion.  However, at times it may seem that we are far from being where we want to be.  We ask ourselves what our passions are, and we search for the one thing that we think will truly make us happy.

Finding your passion doesn’t actually require any searching at all, and this is a relief to know!  You will not have to think about what your passion is to get to it.  You will not need to painstakingly analyze every plausible option to arrive where you want to be.

All you need to do get to your passion is take small steps on the right path.  Do not worry about where the path will lead, just make sure that all of the signs indicate that you are on the right one.

Eventually, this path will lead you to your passion and the journey to it will be fun and exciting.  Just like you cannot see five miles in front of you, you will not be able to see too far down your path, but if you read the signs you will be able to tell if you are headed in the right direction.

Here are some questions to ask yourself to decide if you are on your path to find your passion:

Am I changing?  People who are on the path to their passions are ever-evolving.  They are not the same people they were five years ago, but rather they continue to learn and change.

To arrive somewhere truly magnificent will require you to stretch and grow.  You will need to develop the knowledge, skills  and character that will serve you when you finally arrive at your destination.  For this reason, if you are on the path to your passion you will be continuously blossoming, as if you were a caterpillar becoming a butterfly.

Am I learning my lessons? Repeating the same patterns over and over (like dating the same types of abusive people time and again) is an indication that you are going in circles and not moving in the direction of your happiness.

If you are seeing in your life that when you have a challenge, you overcome it, and you move forward from it to a better situation, then this is a good indication that you are on the path to your passion.

If may take you a few tries to learn a lesson, and that’s ok.  It’s alright to take a break from moving forward from time to time, especially if the obstacle you are facing is particularly challenging.  As long as you get the message after a few tries you are doing well!

Am I willing to move on?  To move in the direction of your dreams requires you to move!  Sometimes we find ourselves in a place (like a relationship, a job or a living situation) that no longer serves us.  If you make a choice to leave a situation that doesn’t serve you in order to move on to one that will, you are headed down the right path.

It may take a while to let go of a familiar situation and that’s perfectly fine.  It can be hard to move on from what you know to move towards something you know nothing about.   The important thing is that you trust yourself not to settle for something you don’t want.

Am I going with the flow? This is perhaps the most important question to ask yourself.  To be passionate means that you are in a state of flow.  You cannot force a passion, it must be natural.

Therefore, if you are on the path to your passion you will feel as if you are flowing through life.  We all have hangups here or there, but the more you can let go and relax, the more you will allow the inertia of the universe to carry you to your dreams.

Trust that by relaxing you are doing the very best thing for yourself.  You can only gravitate towards your passion by being flexible and open to receiving it.

Finding your passion is not a monumental task that will require you to do a lot of thinking or planning. Instead, finding your passion simply requires that you head down the right path.

If you think you are not on the path to your dreams, don’t worry!  The beauty about our lives is that we have infinite possibilities as to how they unfold.  You can change direction at any time so there is always an opportunity to take a different route.

In fact, the longer it takes for you to get on the path to your passion, the better it will feel when you finally do!  This is because walking a path other than the one to your passion will feel heavy, hard and at times overwhelming.  Changing directions later in life will feel as if an enormous burden has been lifted from your shoulders, and this is an extremely liberating feeling.

As you move forward through life, keep reading the signs to make sure that you are headed where you want to go!  As long as you go with the flow and keep learning, growing and changing, you will end up exactly where you want to be.  More importantly, you will be enjoying the journey of your life, and at the end of the day, enjoying your life is the only thing that makes it worthwhile.
