Frontier Co-op, Simply Organic, and Whole Foods brands are affected by the recall.

Last month, there was a recall for cumin and products containing cumin because of a possible peanut contamination. This month, there’s another spice recall, and this one affects everyone, not just those with peanut allergies.
Frontier Co-op is recalling organic garlic powder and several products containing the powder that were sold under the Frontier Co-op, Simply Organic and Whole Foods labels.
According to a press release on the FDA’s safety and recall page, these products are being recalled because of a potential salmonella contamination. There have been no illnesses reported from the possibly contaminated products, but raw material received by Frontier tested positive for salmonella in an FDA test. Frontier is voluntarily recalling the products based on the results.
