Lilou Mace: Learning to Love What Is

Source:  Lilou Mace

Lilou Mace reflects on her own learning of how to trust that life is always guiding you toward your greater good. Part of ‘loving what is' (a cornerstone of Byron Katie's ‘The Work' inquiry process) is taking responsibility for what's happening in your reality, even when it seems unfair and undeserved. Rather than raging against the challenge that life has offered you, ask life for help and guidance in opening yourself to a deeper understanding of the situation.

That might have sounded confusing to some people, but I know just what you meant. I do just as you say. I try to feel that I am where I need to be at the moment. And I feel more peaceful knowing this. There may be something I need to learn from the current experience I’m going through, and I ask to be able to see what that might be. I ask the Universe to continue to guide me and let me know which direction I need to go. I ask the universe to help me stay connected to it, so I don’t lose my direction. That if I stay connected to what the Universe wants and is guiding me towards, then I will eventually be more fulfilled. I think that most of us, at least for me, I figured out that I have to get my ego out of the way, so the Universe can work through me
