“I decide to be there. I only act in the movies.” This is Jim Carrey, the actor as a man – a real person. The few minutes’ clip displays a side to Carrey that only few can claim to understand, but that a world should sit up and take note.

Carrey talks about life in general and his battle with depression. Once on Prozac, he now steers clear from all forms of drug; from Prozac, alcohol through to coffee. He admits the depression still lingers but that he “was on Prozac for a long time,’ Carrey says. “I had to get off at a certain point, because I realized, you know, that everything’s okay,” talking gently about those who remain on Prozac and similar drugs for the remainder of their life. “It feels like a low level of despair you live in, where you’re not getting any answers, but you’re living okay and you can smile at the office…but it’s a low level of despair.”

He draws his strength from the beauty of the world and spirituality. During his interview, he touches on his personal beliefs helping him move away from his despair. His faith is very personal and he feels very strong about his religion as religion, not as segmented. When asked what religion he is, he gives a poignant answer, one the world can learn from.

“Are you a Buddhist?” With that, Carrey responds:

“I’m a Buddhist, I’m a Christian, I’m a Muslim, I’m whatever you want me to be. It all comes down to the same thing. You’re in a loving place, or you’re in an unloving place; if you’re with me right now you cannot be unhappy, it’s not possible.”

As comments on the YouTube clip suggest, “If more people believe as he does, there would be less religious wars.”

This world is enough to drive a man into depression, but it is an innate desire to want to connect spiritually with the creator ,as Matthew 5:3 says happy are those conscious of their spiritual need ,Jim was filling that need through the creations I think it’s a wonderful thing, people should should focus more on this earth that was given to us as our home instead of trying their endeavor to ruin it ,May Jehovah help Jim Carey to find peace.

Mr. Jim Carrey , I think you probably know that you have found a special opening to a door to live life as it should be lived , like you described before ., ” without the fear ” that the world thru the media constantly tries to control you , with ever so subtle attacks , on these unsuspecting mind of ours . You , my friend has found the antidote to be free of invisible chains that binds us in the cosmic realm . Consider yourself very fortunate and at peace with your mind . Very few people in this world have been able to reach this great truth you describe , so eloquently said by you .

that’s the problem, only few are realizing. infact there is no such thing as fortunate or unfortunate. it is simply some people realized that we are already are that truth, part of universal force flowing through us. but people has to pause for some time by mind and body, then they will understand, “who am i ??”.. many people here comparing with themselves. but in reality it is 1st step to sanity. 2nd step leaving pocessions, things, money, relationships out, just like Shiva, who burned himself from inside leaving the ash of all the worldy things, emotions and thoughts, that is when opens 3rd eye “1 eye where everything became one and left the scar of universality, no more individual concept but actual oneness”… in India it is called maha-samaghi. for more details watch sadhguru videos thankyou.
