In the future we want, do we all have the same desire for love, for freedom, for recognition… to recognize our human bond? “HUMAN” takes us beyond the masks of social proprieties and guides us deeply into the experience of human existence. “For, there is nothing more compelling than someone looking you right in the eye… and baring their soul.”
Each individual holds a secret truth… a gem of reality which invites you and me to look within, to broaden our view of each other.
Newly released, HUMAN is an unforgettable documentary filled with stories which, in their transparency, have the power to change our perceptions about ourselves.
Directed by French born Yann Arthus-Bertand, a well-known and incredible photographer, journalist, and reporter (as well as an avid environmentalist)….
” HUMAN is a stunning visual feast for the eyes and has a powerful impact on the soul.”
…Interview with Maria
Maria is a “landless”. When she arrived at the Umberto Frei camp, in Brazil, she had nothing, she was hungry. But she got help. She started to work, harvesting beans, maize … Now she has her field, her cabin, her donkey. She also attends classes to learn how to read and write. She is simply happy.
Authentic and Real Stories …
We are experiencing a tidal shift in our conscious awareness of what it means to be human.
Through social media, we are learning about each other… and doing so with the social barriers of politics, caste, religion… or whatever judgmental wall has been erected by our predecessors.
We are coming into our own. And our true human nature is affording us the opportunity to come clean and be straight in our speech with one another.
We all have a story to tell… and it is the telling of our story that brings us closer.
…Interview with Jane Goodall
Jane Goodall is a primatologist, ethologist and anthropologist. She is the first to have observed and reported that chimpanzees use tools for feeding, deeply transforming the human-animal relationships. Today, Jane is committed to the crucial mission of alerting the public about the dangers our planet is exposed to and of changing individual behaviour towards a greater awareness of our environment.
Asking Questions and Telling The Truth…
During the course of filming, journalists asked 2020 people a list of 40 prepared questions. Given the freedom to respond authentically, their answers often surprised the journalists … and frequently took the conversation in unexpected directions.
Countless Moving Moments
The label of ” Celebrity ” is a social meme used to market entertainment to the public.
The Human life of the individual goes far deeper.
In this interview, Cameron Diaz expresses the true nature of her “job” and her personal experience of what it means to be as human as everyone else.
…Interview with Cameron Diaz
Interviewed in Canada, Cameron Diaz spoke about the incredible and very emotional memory following the loss of her father.
Telling The Story…
“Throughout the filming of Human, Arthus and his team of 16 journalists interviewed people from 60 different countries, asking each person the same 40 questions, covering many subjects such as family, love, religion, ambition, and failure.
“They even interviewed freedom fighters, death row inmates, farmers in Mali, and war veterans who have seen life in a very different context than have most of us.
“The variety of people interviewed, from so many different countries, shows you the scale of the world’s common concerns, yet also gives you inspiration that the majority of people want the same things — to live in peace and harmony with each other, for governments to treat us well, and to have that connection that is so important.
“I promise you, you won’t be the same after you watch this film!”
“I am one man among seven billion others. For the past 40 years, I have been photographing our planet and its human diversity, and I have the feeling that humanity is not making any progress. We can’t always manage to live together.
Why is that? I didn’t look for an answer in statistics or analysis, but in man himself.” – Yann Arthus-Bertrand
The film you are about to watch has been released for free on youtube by the producers of HUMAN.
It is their gift to all of us.

HUMAN by Yann Arthus-Bertrand – Genesis of the film Volume 1 of 3 (1:23:19)
Editor's Note: I started out watching Volume 1. The photography alone is mind boggling. The interviews are deeply profound. As the speakers communicated I found myself looking deep into their eyes, as if I were sitting right there with each of them, seeing them in a compelling and connected way. We ARE all ONE. After Volume 1, I went on to Volume 2 and then Volume 3. Much longer than I had intended, but Yann Arthus Bertrand was absolutely right. After seeing it, I am not the same. WHAT A GIFT!

In the end, I have long suspected that basically everyone wants the same thing . . . Methods differ, but the values behind them remain universal.
We breath and have the same energy. We strive in ways that diff. In all our lives. We see, think, digest, suffer from humanity good and bad. Our heart beats as one, see the same sky, and pray to a God what ever the culture sees to. Only things separate is differently. Have things to keep up whether small or big. Get up in the morning and fight the big fight what ever the situation our lives in and depends on….
? Where is the documentary at? I would like to see it.
That’s what I am wondering to.
Shifts in consciousness the planet is changing what frigging planet was this documentary filmed on because the planet I live on the rock my feet are planted on has nothing new under the Sun . This planet is still full of oppression, starvation, disease, political prisoners, communism, violent fundemetal religions, occultation, neo-conservatism, child sex slavery and slave labor with poor wages, dirty water, obesity, genetically modified food, drug and pharmaceutical addiction need I continue !
Please rather instead of making one documentary after another about the world changing because it’s lies put down the camera and do something tangible with results to make it a better world these documentaries are boring getting redundant and just wishy washy boring !!!!!!!!
