Abraham-Hicks: If Consciousness Is Ever Expanding – Then What Exactly Is It Expanding Into?

In the above video, an audience member poses the question of Abraham-Hicks:

”If consciousness is ever expanding, then what exactly is it expanding into? Is some form of ‘extra’ consciousness being created?”

A great question! Abraham explains that there is, in fact, no ‘extra’ consciousness being created. The consciousness that is expanding already exists, and it is actually the capacity to comprehend which is growing; the capacity to acknowledge, to witness and to understand.

As humans, we are here in time and space (or so we believe), and we seek to quantify everything in our own small space – yet this cannot realistically be done.

To enable us to understand what is happening the analogy given by Abraham is of a tree falling in a forest. The tree falling will cause a vibration, yet unless there is something or someone there to translate that vibration then there can be no sound!

Everything is perceptual, and without a ‘perceiver’, then nothing has really happened!

We are perceivers capable of incredible perception, yet in reality, we use so little of it.  This need not be so!  We always have the ability to increase our perception, to receive, to ‘realize’ and to make it real.

It is consciousness, or attention, Abraham explains, which enables and makes the vibration evolve, and therein our power lies.  As humans, WE are the creators, the influencers of vibration, and therefore the catalyst for the expansion of them.

If we can but realize our true power then the possibilities for us are indeed endless in this ever-expanding universe.

A second question is then posed as to why the solar plexus is often used by Abraham to describe how we know when we are in alignment (or not) with our inner being, rather than speaking of the chakras.

In answering the question, Abraham points out that every cell in our body is, in fact, a receptor and has the ability to perceive; yet it is extremely common for us to say that we feel our emotions in our gut, ‘the center of which we are’.

Often, we choose to describe to others that we ‘feel something in our gut’, or in ‘the pit of our stomach’.

We are told that whilst it IS possible for us to ‘feel’ wherever we want to in our bodies, the solar plexus is the most common way in which we describe how we recognize our instincts, and Abraham jokes that it would be perceived as unusual if we were to describe our feelings and emotions as coming from our noses or such like. J
