Grant Lilly has created a lovely ocean view tiny house in beautiful Rocky Bay, New Zealand for very little dough. He bought the property in Rocky Bay for $55,000 New Zealand which is about $37,000 U.S, and built the home for a mere $2,000 New Zealand which is about $1,300 U.S.

Lilly’s tiny house gives you a great idea of what patience, persistence and a creative spirit can do with a small plot of property overlooking paradise.

To begin his dream, he literally dug out a part of the hillside so that his little abode has hillside rock on the inside.

For his small power needs, he draws power from a house a ways below him, and for showers he collects water and allows the sun to warm it up.

Lilly created a drop down bed on a pulley system to allow for more space inside when he’s not sleeping, and he installed lots of windows and and even a glass roof area for lots of natural light.

He even created a raised bit of lawn for a golf tee. While we question the ecology of firing golf balls into the ocean, we have to admire his ingenuity and ability to create luxury out of so little.

Um, I used to work at home depot, in lumber and building materials, and I can tell you the materials cost more than that!
So if you’re gonna keep posting bs like this, at least tell us where to get materials 50% off and ftee labor.

Oh, and ocean view to boot, lol.
