The Walkonomics app helps you find the best route for getting from point A to B based on walkability. It now has a new version that lets you find the path that puts you closest to nature, or more specifically, has the most trees, so that you can add a little nature immersion to your day-to-day travels.

German architect Andre Broessels has developed a spherical glass solar power collector that tracks the sun and can collect much more power than the flat screen solar collectors. Still in its development he has patents pending in 5 jurisdictions and hopes to market it in the near future. The indiegogo campaign has been successful and he is now testing.

All new technology is frightening, says physicist Lawrence Krauss. But there are many more reasons to welcome machine consciousness than to fear it. Right now, says Krauss, robots can’t even fold laundry. But when they do learn to think (which he considers very likely), then there’s also reason to believe that they’ll develop consciences.

Could vaccines be delivered to humans via mosquito bite. In that case Genetically Modified insects ( or tiny insect like drones) could “bite” and there would be no opportunity to decline. Are the current viral epidemics a good opportunity to develop and implement this process which has been discussed for several years? All excellent questions. What do you think?
