Don’t let Russell Brands “casual” attire stop you from taking this video seriously. He makes some great points — like how our society is so obsessed with sexually-related media that even a conservative news source like Fox stopped their “war mongering” long enough to dive into a “50 Shades of Grey”-Inspired poll of people’s willingness to engage in S&M.

The movie ‘American Sniper’ based on the memoirs of Navy Seal Chris Kyle has grabbed six Oscar nominations and shattered US box-office records. In the process it’s also inflamed debate over US wars. The politically potent film also affirms the impact that the counter-culture of “conspiracy theory” has had on the mainstream, with the plot centered around a rogue network within the government, secretly orchestrating world events to achieve a long-term agenda for a totalitarian New World Order.

RT’s Marina Portnaya talked to the director of the documentary, Brian Knappenberger, about Swartz’s legacy.
