“In a new letter co-penned by a bipartisan group of members of Congress, federal lawmakers say they have ‘strong concern’ related to Apple’s recent actions in China. The letter, which is addressed to CEO Tim Cook, zeroes in on Apple’s decision earlier this month to remove HKMap, an app pro-democracy demonstrators in Hong Kong used to track the location of local law enforcement.”
“The letter goes on to criticize Apple for its other app removals. Citing data from an organization called GreatFire, it says, ‘Apple has censored at least 2,200 apps in China, which include Virtual Private Network apps used to circumvent China’s Great Firewall, and apps made by and for oppressed ethnic minorities, including the Uyghur and Tibetan communities’.”
It’s not just people like Assange who are being demonized and hunted, it’s alternative media as well. The war on ‘fake news’ that’s been happening for the last little while has forced alternative media outlets that are presenting credible information to be deemed as ‘fake.’ Any media outlet who even questions a controversial issue has been made out to be ‘wrong’ or ‘fake.’ Who has been hired to do this work? One example is news browser extension NewsGuard, which promises to help readers pick out fake news. However, NewsGuard is funded and run by individuals tied to the CFR, Atlantic Council, and other prominent elite figures.
‘Targeted Individual’ activists are holding concurrent rallies in 21 different locations all over the world on August 29th, 2019. This will be the largest gathering of TIs and their supporters in the history of the movement.
A new book published in May by a Stanford University science writer and former Lyme sufferer, Kris Newby, has raised questions about the origins of the disease, which affects 400,000 Americans each year. Bitten: The Secret History of Lyme Disease and Biological Weapons, cites the Swiss-born discoverer of the Lyme pathogen, Willy Burgdorfer, as saying that the Lyme epidemic was a military experiment that had gone wrong.

It’s no secret that many people believe that Facebook has become a massive tool for censorship. Multiple social media platforms are now banning anything and everything that opposes certain political thoughts or corporate agendas, regardless of how credible it is and how much evidence there is to back up those claims. A lot of news that isn’t really false has simply been labelled as ‘fake news.’ It reminds me of what’s happening with vaccines today, for example, as the mainstream media (which never receives any type of censorship or “fake” labels) never seems to address the concerns and points that are made by multiple vaccine safety advocates, even when those concerns are expressed by scientists and doctors. Instead, mainstream media uses terms like ‘anti-vax conspiracy theorists’ and ‘fake news’ to make their point, while simultaneously influencing the minds of the masses.
Freedom of the press is dying as the most hated are being targeted by the establishment, opening up a door for censorship and control of information like the world has never seen, undoubtedly in preparation for the 2020 U.S. elections.
Now is the time to take action. We must urge the UK government to oppose the extradition of this persecuted journalist to the US. And mobilize to demand the Trump administration to drop criminal charges against Assange and WikiLeaks. We must fight to defend Assange, not for his sake, but for our own and for our democracy. #freeassange
