After years of interviewing people who have experienced spontaneous remissions and healings, I have discovered they share four specific qualities or beliefs.

Coincidence #1: A Belief That An Innate Higher Intelligence Gives Us Life And Can Heal The Body

Everyone who experienced a spontaneous remission believed that a higher order or intelligence lived within him or her. Whether they called it their divine, spiritual, or subconscious mind, they accepted that they could direct it to work for them.

This is nothing mystical. It is the same intelligence that organizes and regulates all the functions of the body. This power keeps our heart beating without interruption more than 100,000 times per day. This happens automatically, without care or cleaning, repair or replacement.

Just now, some 100,000 chemical reactions took place in every single one of your cells. Now multiply 100,000 chemical reactions by the 70 to 100 trillion cells that make up your body. Do you have to think to perform even one of those reactions? Many of us can’t even balance our checkbooks or remember more than seven items from our shopping lists, so it’s fortunate for us that some intelligence smarter than our conscious mind is running the show.

Some intelligence is at work in us that far exceeds our conscious abilities, it’s incredibly complex workings take place virtually behind our back. Yet the only time they become significant to the conscious mind is when something goes wrong.

This intelligence knows how to maintain order among all of the cells, tissues, organs, and systems of the body because it created the body from two individual cells.

My subjects’ came to understand that if they tapped into this intelligence and used their thoughts to direct it, it would know how to heal their bodies for them. Their greater mind already knew how to take care of business, if they could only make contact with it.

The abilities of this innate intelligence, subconscious mind, or spiritual nature are far greater than any pill, therapy, or treatment, and it is only waiting for our permission to willfully act.

Coincidence #2: Thoughts Directly Affect The Body

The way we think affects our body as well as our life as expressed in the phrase “mind over matter.” The people I interviewed shared this belief and used it to make conscious changes in their own mind, body, and personal life.

A science called psychoneuroimmunology demonstrates the connection between the mind and the body. Your every thought produces a biochemical reaction in the brain. The brain then releases chemical signals that are transmitted to the body, where they act as the messengers of the thought that is matched by a feeling in your body. For example, when you anticipate an experience that is pleasurable, the brain immediately makes a chemical neurotransmitter called dopamine, which turns the brain and body on in anticipation of that experience and causes you to begin to feel excited. If you have hateful, angry, or self-deprecating thoughts, the brain also produces chemicals called neuropeptides that the body responds to in a comparable way. You feel hateful, angry, or unworthy.

The more we think the same thoughts, which then produce the same chemicals, which cause the body to have the same feelings, the more we physically become modified by our thoughts. What we think about and the energy or intensity of these thoughts directly influences our health, the choices we make, and, ultimately, our quality of life.

Applying this reasoning to their own lives, many interviewees understood that many of their thoughts not only did not serve their health, but also might be the reason their unhappy or unhealthy conditions developed in the first place. Many of them had spent nearly every day for decades in internal states of anxiety, worry, sadness, jealousy, anger, or some other form of emotional pain. Thinking and feeling, feeling and thinking like that for so long, they said, is what had manifested their conditions.

One’s attitudes create a state of being that is directly connected to the body. Thus, a person who wants to improve his health has to change entire patterns in how he thinks. To do this, he must break free of perpetual loops of detrimental thinking and feeling, feeling and thinking, and replace them with new, beneficial ones.

Talking Trash: Feds Announce Dramatic Goal To Curb Our Food-Waste Crisis

It seems the U.S. is getting serious about tackling one of the biggest social and environmental problems that most Americans probably don’t even know exists: the staggering amount of food we waste.

Wednesday’s announcement from top U.S. officials that, for the first time ever, the federal government has set a goal for dramatically cutting our country’s food waste isn’t likely to land at the top of your news feed. Especially not when there’s another Republican circus—er, debate—to endlessly parse. But a 50 percent reduction in U.S. food waste over the next 15 years? That’s huge.

Bear with me for a sec. I remember the early seasons of Mad Men, all those scene-setting moments intended to shock our modern sensibilities. Even beyond the endless parade of three-martini lunches, you had parents blithely smoking in cars with their kids, mothers letting their daughters play with dry cleaning bags, no seat belts, etc. But one thing that really stood out was when the Drapers finished a picnic in the park and Betty promptly upended the blanket to let the family’s post-picnic trash fly everywhere. They then got in their car and drove away.

Thanks in part to a concerted campaign that included the federal government (remember Woodsy the Owl?), most of us wouldn’t even think of tossing our food wrappers out the car window today. Yet we often don’t think twice about tossing our leftovers in the trash.

True, this is about a lot more than getting regular folks to start reheating that casserole lingering in the fridge—there’s a ridiculous amount of food waste to go around.

Love A Veteran? Learn How The Power Of Breath Is Healing Post-War Trauma

Breathing is the first and last thing we do in life, but most of us take the breath for granted – unless we are scared, angry or winded. Some veterans throughout the country are using their breath to overcome wartime trauma. For many, the breath gives back what years of medication alone have not been able to resolve. They are practicing an exercise called Sudarshan Kriya Yoga, also known as SKY, which releases trauma from the body and mind through a series of breathing exercises that also puts people into states of meditation.  A study conducted at Stanford University and published in August in the Journal of Trauma Stress showed that the exercises work. Emma Seppälä, a researcher at Stanford who led the study, says the breathing program, which is part of a project called “Welcome Home Troops,” had an acute impact on the veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan who participated. “We found that there were signs of reductions in anxiety and [post-traumatic stress disorder] immediately after the one-week program,” Seppälä says, adding that those improvements were seen both one month and one year later, even in veterans who did not continue to do the daily breathing practices at home.

Deep In the Trenches – of Healing

Robert Carter, a manager for the tactical combat casualty care research program at the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research in San Antonio, Texas, says the course helped him overcome insomnia and hyper-vigilance related to his eight-month deployment in Afghanistan, where rocket-repelled grenades – “flying bombs essentially” – were daily occurrences. “I had an immediate calming of the mind,” Carter says, adding, “I slept like a baby.” The breathing exercises also helped him become more aware of his own body, he adds. “In the end, I felt a lot of lightness, less tension.” Carter continued doing the breathing exercises on his own, and within months, his attention span improved. After one year of regularly practicing the breathing exercises, he also was cured of Crohn’s disease. “These conditions are stress-related,” he says. “I did something that clearly reduced my stress levels and contributed to the healing process.” His blood pressure and cholesterol also stabilized.

John Osborne, ​national director of the Welcome Home Troops Project, which is part of a nonprofit organization called the International Association for Human Values, says the breathing practices based on ancient Vedic tradition ​allow the body to let go of trauma and remain present. That trauma often involves what Osborne calls “moral injury” – when serving veterans were told to perform tasks they​ didn’t want to do. “One guy was locked in a fetal position after the Kriya session​. Turns out he had been a convoy driver who ran over a 5-year-old kid,” Osborne says. “By the end of the course, what happens to them has not changed. But their relationship to it has.” Osborne adds that even if people are unable to forgive themselves, they can at least be in the present moment and move on with their lives. Seppälä says she consistently hears comments like, “I feel like I’m alive again.” “This is the person they were before the war,” she says.

What Causes Male Infertility? Sperm Cells With Poorly Packaged Genes, Researchers Say

The human genome would span nearly six feet if unfurled, yet every cell in your body contains a complete copy. How does that work? The DNA wraps itself like thread around protein spools called histones, and these genes and proteins combined form a complex referred to as a chromatin. Yet sperm (a man’s reproductive cells) are much smaller than most cells, so early in their development, the histone spools are replaced by even tinier proteins called protamines. Now, researchers from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) discovered that this moment of substitution — referred to as chromatin remodeling — is essential for male fertility, and when this process somehow goes awry, the result is infertility.

New Study Shows Pesticides Are A “Major Cause” of Infertility & Male Erectile Dysfunction

When people think of fertility, they most often think of women, yet men play an equal role in fertility and may be the cause of childlessness. In fact, more than three million American men also experience infertility. Male infertility can be a temporary issue caused by a reaction to certain conditions, say, a sexually transmitted disease or even a tumor. On the other hand, infertility may be a permanent condition caused by a fundamental issue with the sperm itself, including too few sperm produced, misshapen sperm, motility (when sperm that cannot swim properly), or blockages that prevent sperm from joining with semen.

To better understand infertility, then, scientists commonly investigate sperm, the specialized cell that is so small 30 times more petite than the female egg — it contains little more than DNA and molecular motors. From head to tail, a sperm cell is invisible to the naked eye, just about 1/500th of an inch. For this reason, even more than other cells, DNA must be tightly packaged to fit within its miniscule boundaries.

CSHL Professor Dr. Alea Mills and Dr. Wangzhi Li, lead author of a new study published Tuesday in Nature Communications, identified a role played in male infertility by Chd5, the protein that regulates chromatin remodeling, the moment when protamines replace histones.  The team discovered Chd5 as a potential cause of sterility when they analyzed data from testes biopsies obtained from men with sperm defects causing infertility. “We found that men with more severe defects had the lowest levels of Chd5,” Mills said.

The Social Life Of Your Genes: Learn The Power of Your Subjective Experience

A few years ago, Gene Robinson, of Urbana, Illinois, asked some associates in southern Mexico to help him kidnap some 1,000 newborns. For their victims they chose bees. Half were European honeybees, Apis mellifera ligustica, the sweet-tempered kind most beekeepers raise. The other half were ligustica’s genetically close cousins, Apis mellifera scutellata, the African strain better known as killer bees. Though the two subspecies are nearly indistinguishable, the latter defend territory far more aggressively. Kick a European honeybee hive and perhaps a hundred bees will attack you. Kick a killer bee hive and you may suffer a thousand stings or more. Two thousand will kill you.

Working carefully, Robinson’s conspirators—researchers at Mexico’s National Center for Research in Animal Physiology, in the high resort town of Ixtapan de la Sal—jiggled loose the lids from two African hives and two European hives, pulled free a few honeycomb racks, plucked off about 250 of the youngest bees from each hive, and painted marks on the bees’ tiny backs. Then they switched each set of newborns into the hive of the other subspecies.

Robinson, back in his office at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s Department of Entomology, did not fret about the bees’ safety. He knew that if you move bees to a new colony in their first day, the colony accepts them as its own. Nevertheless, Robinson did expect the bees would be changed by their adoptive homes: He expected the killer bees to take on the European bees’ moderate ways and the European bees to assume the killer bees’ more violent temperament. Robinson had discovered this in prior experiments. But he hadn’t yet figured out how it happened.

He suspected the answer lay in the bees’ genes. He didn’t expect the bees’ actual DNA to change: Random mutations aside, genes generally don’t change during an organism’s lifetime. Rather, he suspected the bees’ genes would behave differently in their new homes—wildly differently.

This notion was both reasonable and radical. Scientists have known for decades that genes can vary their level of activity, as if controlled by dimmer switches. Most cells in your body contain every one of your 22,000 or so genes. But in any given cell at any given time, only a tiny percentage of those genes is active, sending out chemical messages that affect the activity of the cell. This variable gene activity, called gene expression, is how your body does most of its work.

The fish underwent massive surges in gene expression that immediately blinged up his pewter coloring with lurid red and blue streaks and, in a matter of hours, caused him to grow some 20 percent. It was as if Jason Schwartzman, coming to work one day to learn the big office stud had quit, morphed into Arnold Schwarzenegger by close of business.

Sometimes these turns of the dimmer switch correspond to basic biological events, as when you develop tissues in the womb, enter puberty, or stop growing. At other times gene activity cranks up or spins down in response to changes in your environment. Thus certain genes switch on to fight infection or heal your wounds—or, running amok, give you cancer or burn your brain with fever. Changes in gene expression can make you thin, fat, or strikingly different from your supposedly identical twin. When it comes down to it, really, genes don’t make you who you are. Gene expression does. And gene expression varies depending on the life you live.

Every biologist accepts this. That was the safe, reasonable part of Robinson’s notion. Where he went out on a limb was in questioning the conventional wisdom that environment usually causes fairly limited changes in gene expression. It might sharply alter the activity of some genes, as happens in cancer or digestion. But in all but a few special cases, the thinking went, environment generally brightens or dims the activity of only a few genes at a time.

Robinson, however, suspected that environment could spin the dials on “big sectors of genes, right across the genome”—and that an individual’s social environment might exert a particularly powerful effect. Who you hung out with and how they behaved, in short, could dramatically affect which of your genes spoke up and which stayed quiet—and thus change who you were.

Robinson was already seeing this in his bees. The winter before, he had asked a new post-doc, Cédric Alaux, to look at the gene-expression patterns of honeybees that had been repeatedly exposed to a pheromone that signals alarm. (Any honeybee that detects a threat emits this pheromone. It happens to smell like bananas. Thus “it’s not a good idea,” says Alaux, “to eat a banana next to a bee hive.”)

To a bee, the pheromone makes a social statement: Friends, you are in danger. Robinson had long known that bees react to this cry by undergoing behavioral and neural changes: Their brains fire up and they literally fly into action. He also knew that repeated alarms make African bees more and more hostile. When Alaux looked at the gene-expression profiles of the bees exposed again and again to alarm pheromone, he and Robinson saw why: With repeated alarms, hundreds of genes—genes that previous studies had associated with aggression—grew progressively busier. The rise in gene expression neatly matched the rise in the aggressiveness of the bees’ response to threats.

Robinson had not expected that. “The pheromone just lit up the gene expression, and it kept leaving it higher.” The reason soon became apparent: Some of the genes affected were transcription factors—genes that regulate other genes. This created a cascading gene-expression response, with scores of genes responding.

Your Gall Bladder & its Connection to a Better Life

Every now and then I like to return to my true vocation – that of healer.

This is not to say that the healing of humanity as a whole and the dissolution of the near-terminal cancer which we call the banking cartel is not rewarding in itself, it is, however, somehow impersonal.

When the opportunity (or, as in this case, a recent discovery) offers to give something which can make a big difference to the lives of many on a very personal level then I find it very gratifying to be able to impart this to one and all.

The first thing that we need to do is to find your gall bladder! It sits half inside your liver and half below. Now, your liver is inside your rib cage on the lower right hand side. The lower edge of your liver runs parallel to the bow of your rib cage and completely fills this area of your body as you see in this sketch. As you see in the right hand sketch, your gall bladder sits roughly in the middle of the lower edge.

Many, many years ago, about 1989 if I remember correctly, I wrote a small hand book giving a rough guide to the relationships between particular thought patterns and emotions and how they resonate with specific areas of your body. This hand book can be downloaded here free of charge.

It was most gratifying to see much of this confirmed by developments and discoveries in Quantum Biophysics beginning at the end of the 20th century. The full length book, including all of the newest science is, currently, “work in progress” on my writing desk.

I mention this because, unless we understand this aspect, we are not going to understand why your gall bladder functions in the way it does, what can cause it to malfunction and the amazing hidden abilities which can be “switched on”.

First, let us view your gall bladder from the biochemical point of view.

What does it do at this level?

As with all human organs – with the sole exception of the clitoris – it is multi-functional.

It functions on both sides of the digestion/metabolism chain. On the one hand it secretes a substance into the small intestine end of your duodenum which, amongst other things, helps to digest fats.  On the other hand it transforms the most poisonous of the waste products from normal metabolic activity into substances which can be readily eliminated from your body via your intestines. This is why the surgical removal of the gall bladder leads to a general reduction in your standard of health and well-being: Both digestion and detoxification are seriously weakened.

Should normal gall bladder function be seriously impaired then it will tend to produce gall stones, i.e. the toxins produced by your metabolism will be turned to stone in order to keep them away from the rest of your system. It behoves us, therefore, to determine what causes the reduction in gall bladder function and to take action to remedy this.

 There are three ways in which organ function can be impaired:
1) undernourishment
2) high levels of general toxicity
3) emotional congestion

The first two of these are very wide spread throughout the First World as a deliberate policy organised by the banking cartel.

Each organ is strongly influenced by a pair of emotions or feelings one of which is beneficial and the other destructive. To an extent which would astonish most medical practitioners, our health and well-being is determined by our dominant feelings because these actually control how well our organs function. The medicos attempt to dismiss this as an aberration “psychosomatic illness” but, in reality, the state of our emotions is of paramount importance not only to our physical health but also to our general enjoyment of life.

The Essenes have a teaching that proclaims the normal life-span of a human being to be 800 to 900 years of which the most difficult are the first 100; it is in this time that we must learn to order our feelings lest they destroy us.

Prof. Bruce Lipton PhD states something quite similar in his teachings: “The human body is obviously designed to remain youthfully active for several hundreds of years. Something is perturbing the normal cell replacement processes and causing degeneration instead of regeneration.”

The destructive emotion affecting the gall bladder is hate.

Now, don’t go into a kerfuffle; I know that you’ve been taught that it’s “wrong” to hate but this, via the guilt indoctrination, leads merely to suppression, illness and death.

Look carefully at what hate actually is.

How To Use Spirituality To Recover From Addiction

Prayer and meditation, service work, and rigorous honesty are important in building a vital spiritual life. But there are other practices that we don’t often think of as spiritual, that are also key in healing addiction. Here are 7 suggestions for keeping your spirit strong, increasing your chances of a quality recovery and generally making life worth living again:

1. Cultivate down time.

Our central nervous system has two basic modes —rest cycle and action cycle. We heal only during our rest cycle. Chronic over-doing, anxiety, anger and fear all create stress, and stress compromises our life ability to regenerate. Stress without adequate restoration depletes our energy.

2. Spend time in nature.

Many of us tend to think of nature as something we walk around on, look out the window at, or somewhere we go on the weekends. But we ARE nature, meaning we are made of the same chemicals and compounds as the earth.

Find a place to be outside that relaxes your body and renews your spirit — sit by a lake, lean against a tree, pet a dog, love your cat, hike in the woods, or walk outside with your children. Housebound? No problem. Just sit by the window and watch the birds fly by. You get it.

3. Clarify your values and beliefs.

Recovery is about cleaning house on the inside and out. It’s a time of assessment with the very real possibility for transformation. What do you want to bring with you as you step into this new time in your life? It’s OK to change your mind about things. It’s OK to take on new beliefs, see new possibilities, and chose a new attitude.

Coming to new awareness — being open rather than in lockdown — is a spiritual practice. It’s about trusting Life.

Amazon Tribe Creates 500-Page Remarkable Natural Medicine Encyclopedia

In one of the great tragedies of our age, indigenous traditions, stories, cultures and knowledge are winking out across the world. Whole languages and mythologies are vanishing, and in some cases even entire indigenous groups are falling into extinction. This is what makes the news that a tribe in the Amazon—the Matsés peoples of Brazil and Peru—have created a 500-page encyclopedia of their traditional medicine all the more remarkable. The encyclopedia, compiled by five shamans with assistance from conservation group Acaté, details every plant used by Matsés medicine to cure a massive variety of ailments.

“The [Matsés Traditional Medicine Encyclopedia] marks the first time shamans of an Amazonian tribe have created a full and complete transcription of their medicinal knowledge written in their own language and words,” Christopher Herndon, president and co-founder of Acaté, told Mongabay in an interview (in full below).

The Matsés have only printed their encyclopedia in their native language to ensure that the medicinal knowledge is not stolen by corporations or researchers as has happened in the past. Instead, the encyclopedia is meant as a guide for training new, young shamans in the tradition and recording the living shamans’ knowledge before they pass.

“One of the most renowned elder Matsés healers died before his knowledge could be passed on so the time was now. Acaté and the Matsés leadership decided to prioritize the Encyclopedia before more of the elders were lost and their ancestral knowledge taken with them,” said Herndon.

Acaté has also started a program connecting the remaining Matsés shamans with young students. Through this mentorship program, the indigenous people hope to preserve their way of life as they have for centuries past.

“With the medicinal plant knowledge disappearing fast among most indigenous groups and no one to write it down, the true losers in the end are tragically the indigenous stakeholders themselves,” said Herndon. “The methodology developed by the Matsés and Acaté can be a template for other indigenous cultures to safeguard their ancestral knowledge.”

Christopher Herndon: The encyclopedia marks the first time shamans of an Amazonian tribe have created a full and complete transcription of their medicinal knowledge written in their own language and words. Over the centuries, Amazonian peoples have passed on through oral tradition an accumulated wealth of knowledge and techniques of treatment that are a product of their deep spiritual and physical ties to the natural world. The Matsés live in one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet and have mastered knowledge of the healing properties of its plants and animals. Yet, in a world in which cultural change is destabilizing even the most isolated societies, this knowledge is rapidly disappearing.It is hard to overstate just how quickly this knowledge can be lost after a tribe makes contact with the outside world. Once extinguished, this knowledge, along with the tribe’s self-sufficiency, can never fully be reclaimed. Historically, what has followed the loss of endemic health systems in many indigenous groups is near total dependency on the rudimentary and extremely limited external health care that is available in such remote and difficult-to-access locations. Not surprisingly, in most countries, indigenous groups have the highest rates of mortality and disease.
The initiative is important from the Matsés perspective because loss of culture and poor health care are among their greatest concerns. The methodology they pioneered to successfully protect and safeguard their own knowledge can serve as a replicable model for other indigenous communities facing similar cultural erosion. For the broader conservation movement, we know that there is a strong correlation between intact ecosystems and regions of indigenous inhabitation, making strengthening of indigenous culture one of the most effective ways to protect large areas of rainforest.
Mongabay: Why is now the time to record this information?
Christopher Herndon: The Matsés knowledge and the accumulated wisdom of generations stood on the very precipice of extinction. Fortunately, there remained a few elder Matsés who still held the ancestral knowledge as sustained contact with the outside world only occurred within the past half century. The healers were adults at the time of initial contact and had already mastered their skills before being told they were useless by missionaries and government workers. At the time we started the project, none of the elder shamans had younger Matsés interested in learning from them.One of the most renowned elder Matsés healers died before his knowledge could be passed on so the time was now. Acaté and the Matsés leadership decided to prioritize the Encyclopedia before more of the elders were lost and their ancestral knowledge taken with them. The project was not about saving a traditional dance or costume, it was about their health and that of future generations of Matsés. The stakes could not be higher.

One of the earliest interpretations for the term shaman is “one who heals the sick and honors the forest.” In addition to their obligations as tribal healers and the keepers of the ancient ways, the shaman also leads the conservation effort in their tribe or community. They take responsibility for the protection of the forest, the ecosystem that supports the sacred plants.

Mongabay: What is the encyclopedia like?

Christopher Herndon: After two years of intense work by the Matsés, the Encyclopedia now includes chapters by five Matsés master healers and is over 500 pages long! Each entry is categorized by disease name, with explanation of how to recognize it by symptoms; its cause; which plants to use; how to prepare the medicine and alternative therapeutic options. A photograph taken by the Matsés of each plant accompanies each entry in the encyclopedia.

The Encyclopedia is written by and from the worldview of the Matsés shaman, describing how rainforest animals are involved in the natural history of the plants and connected with diseases. 4 Lesser-Known Herbal Remedies for Anxiety (Tried and Tested)

I’ve suffered anxiety on and off for many years.

It started in my pubescent years and reached a crescendo around the age of 18-19, after which I was prescribed Prozac, and later Desvenlafaxine and Loxalate. I stayed on these medications for about 6 months, jumping from one to another in hopes of finding a “cure.” Soon I discovered that prescription medications don’t actually work that way because they only serve as a band aid (albeit, often a very necessary one) that superficially numbs the issue.

Dissatisfied with the results of taking medication, I slowly weaned myself off the pills and was shocked by what I discovered: although I felt the old demon of anxiety looming in the background, I also felt more mental clarity, more emotional depth and more creativity. What a surprise! And what a simultaneous blessing.

Since then I have vowed to explore alternative treatments, including a variety of herbal remedies for anxiety that I want to share with you in this article. Although herbal remedies shouldn’t be solely relied on to treat your anxiety (it is imperative to pair this treatment with behavioral/psychological therapy by yourself or with a professional), it is an effective, cheap and healthy way of supplementing your well-being.

4 Powerful Herbal Remedies for Anxiety

I’ve tried a broad variety of herbal remedies for anxiety throughout a large number of years, and while some have been mildly effective, others have been noticeably potent in their physiological, emotional and psychological influence.

Remember: while these herbs worked for me, they might not necessarily work for you. You and I both have a different body mass, level of brain chemicals, hormonal variations, and many other elements that influence how effective a particular herb is or not. So take these recommendations with “a grain of salt.”

Also, call me a rebel, but I rarely take the recommended dosage for herbal supplements. Taking one or two capsules or teaspoons of powder daily is not, in my experience, particularly potent, noticeable or even worth it. So I like to experiment with quantity. This is what I do:

  • Take the recommended dosage. If it is effective, good for you. If not, consider increasing the dosage.
  • Important: Before you increase the dose of a herb, research the potential side effects of large quantities. While some herbs are harmless, others carry more notable risks. Once you have done your research, proceed.
  • Slowly increase the quantity and observe yourself closely. If you feel discomfort of any kind, decrease the dosage. Remember to practice restraint and be responsible with your dosages (e.g. don’t do ten times the recommended dosage). Herbs are only supplements; not cures.

It also helps to remember that our bodies develop tolerance to different chemical compositions quickly. So while taking one herbal remedy one week might work, the next it might wane in its effectiveness. This is why I recommend having two or more different herbs to swap between if you’re going through a particularly stressful period of life that you are struggling with.

1. Damiana


Damiana (Turnera Diffusa) is a shrub that is native to the central and south Americas and is used to traditionally enhance libido as well as decrease anxiety. Damiana can be smoked, taken in tablet or powder form, or drunk as tea. I personally love brewing it in tea (it also comes out cheaper this way). I’ve only recently discovered Damiana and it is a wonderfully potent herb for psychological stress, and can be often bought on ebay.

2. Ashwagandha


Ashwagandha (Withania Somnifera) is a native Indian herb that is part of the night shade family. Traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine, Ashwagandha has been shown to reduce anxiety, as well as enhance libido, decrease blood pressure, soothe ADHD, reduce arthritic swelling, and many other bodily afflictions. Scientists Discover A New Part Of The Human Body

Researchers at University of Virginia’s School of Medicine recently discovered a long-hidden system of vessels they’ve coined the “central nervous system lymphatic vessels,” which drain lymphatic fluid from the brain to the surrounding lymph nodes.

The study was headed by Antoine Louveau, a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of UVA’s Jonathan Kipnis, director of the Center for Brain Immunology and Glia. The team detected the vessels after Louveau developed a method for mounting a mouse’s meninges (membranes covering the brain) on a slide without ruining the delicate tissue. When he saw vessel-like patterns in the distribution of immune cells, he tested for lymphatic vessels—and the results surprised everyone. They were also able to find the vessels in human brain samples.

An exciting new science is beginning to emerge that involves reprogramming the DNA molecule with intentions and conscious will.  We see this small scale in the placebo effect, but we are now beginning to explore this on a much larger scale.

The very concept of DNA being reprogrammed is premised on the understanding that the building block of the universe is not hard matter, but non-local energetic waves. Particles that can be both solid and stable in space one minute, and smeared out in space in wave form another minute where they can be measured as being in more than one place in space at the same time.  DNA is a molecule of course, but it is made of subatomic particles which have wave-particle duality, meaning that they can be influenced in wave form as well as in material form. What happens when we harness the knowledge quantum physics has given us about particles and apply it to biology?

The Studies

To illustrate the potential of Linguistic Wave Genetics (altering DNA with sounds), Dr. Peter Gariaev describes a study that took place in Toronto, Canada in which researchers administered poison to a group of rats in order to harm their pancreas. This control group of rats developed diabetes and died shortly after. The other group of rats received genetic information via a laser, targeted to re-grow and regenerate damaged pancreas cells. This group of rats survived and their pancreas became functional again.

Dr. Gariaev, the father of wave genetics, claims there are two methods for assisting people to extend their lives using this technology.

1. He would take the stem cells from the umbilical cord of a person’s newborn child, as well as tissue from the placenta. Next, he would read the information from those tissues using a laser. Dr. Gariaev would then translate this information into a sound and record it on an MP3 to be listened to by the person every day.

2. Dr. Gariaev speaks on the common theme that we live in a holographic informational world and this data is available to everyone. He states that he “has the technology to address the holographic person.” This is done by reading a newborn’s holographic information and transmitting it to an elderly or ill person, allowing them to regenerate, recover and even reverse the aging process.

This means that they managed for example to modulate certain frequency patterns onto a laser ray and with it influenced the DNA frequency and thus the genetic information itself. Since the basic structure of DNA-alkaline pairs and of language are of the same structure at their most fundamental levels, no DNA decoding is necessary.

These concepts and ideas don’t just apply to humans, but can also be applied to plants, as Dr. Gariaev describes in an experiment he and his team performed. They took plants that had been damaged on the chromosomal level. The damaged chromosomes of one group of plants were talked to using a “specific algorithm” spoken through a generator in various languages. The other group had the same process repeated but the difference was that the words spoken were simply random, meaningless words. The first group of plants became healthy and recovered while the group given the random, meaningless words continued their downward progression.

To address the wave-property of DNA, they did an interesting experiment where they captured information patterns of a particular DNA and transmitted it onto another, thus reprogramming cells to another genome. So they successfully transformed, for example, frog embryos to salamander embryos simply by transmitting the DNA information patterns! This way the entire information was transmitted without any of the side effects or disharmonies encountered when cutting out and re-introducing single genes from the DNA.
