The word ‘renaissance’ in French means ‘re-birth or revival’. A Renaissance person is basically a person who is a polymath, that is, multifaceted and knowledgeable in many fields of knowledge.
Here is how you can become a Renaissance person:
- Inquisitiveness: Be inquisitive about everything around you and within you, be it an external stimulus or a thought. Try to objectively analyze the external environment and be mindful of your mind’s mechanisms.
- Reading: Be it even a small piece of paper, cultivate the habit of reading. Read books, magazines, newspapers, journal articles, poems, and anything that grabs your attention. Be flexible in your choice of choosing what to read. This will broaden your perspective about the world, about life and about existence.
- Prayer: Quantum entanglement has proven the effectiveness and the miraculousness of prayer. When you pray, you send out signals to the universe, which feeds the soul of the universe, and facilitates the fulfillment of your wishes and prayers.
- Sports: Exercise and sports have great benefits on the psyche and the body. They slow the process of ageing, enhance cognitive functioning and rejuvenate the spirit. Exercise also eradicates negative thinking and makes you more optimistic about your life.
- Meditation: Meditation is one of the best things you can do for yourself. Transcendental Meditation, which is the highest form of meditation, has the capacity to transform your life in a new direction, remove stress, alleviate suffering and boost daily functioning. Meditation helps you concentrate better during the process of acquisition of knowledge.
- Affirmations: Make an audio tape comprising positive affirmations about yourself, your life goals, etc and listen to it on a daily basis, early in the morning. This reinforces your life purpose, motivates and inspires you to make the best out of life.
- Imagination: Without imagination, there is no invention. Use your imagination to the fullest, be creative, strive for excellence and think what nobody might have thought. Think and imagine your way to a successful life and successful career.
