Seven Steps to Oneness - Journey to a Whole New Life

Why We May Be Feeling Disenchanted

the-forest-by-cherie-roe-dirksen Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

“Enchantment implies magic.  I felt really upset because in this new paradigm we are supposed to be bringing magic back!  You know the drill, the Hogwarts feeling (infinite possibility) as opposed to the muggle world (3D, linear, patriarchal).”

A little while back I wrote a blog about manifesting in the void (you can read it HERE), however, little did I know how vast, deep and probing this chasm was going to be.

I recently went on a downer and the key-word that kept on popping into my mind was ‘disenchanted’.

I felt utterly disenchanted. What does that word mean? Well, in a nutshell — disillusioned.

But wait a moment — there’s much more. Enchantment implies magic.  I felt really upset because in this new paradigm we are supposed to be bringing magic back!  You know the drill, the Hogwarts feeling (infinite possibility) as opposed to the muggle world (3D, linear, patriarchal).

Some of us were merrily skipping down this yellow brick road to visit the land of Oz but now it feels like we’ve lost our ruby shoes!

The Never-Ending Story Begins

Let’s take a trip back in time to the early '80's. Do you remember a movie called The Never-Ending Story?

If not, I’ll try to be succinct (do hang in there 'cause there's an astounding message in this story that we may have missed the first time around):

Recap: It was about a boy reading a fairy-tale book which was very real.  In fact, in the end he became co-creator of the story and it’s land, Fantasia.

The books magical kingdom was being consumed by ‘The Nothing’ (sounds a bit like the void, doesn’t it?  Perhaps even ‘dark matter’ — the creative space between space).

In the end, despite all the attempts by the heroes and heroines of the story, Fantasia was completely obliterated into nothingness.

It became void.

The boy and the Empress of Fantasia were the only ones left in the darkness of this empty space.  He was upset that he couldn’t save Fantasia but she assured him that he had. He was confused because all he remembered was its destruction.

She told him that in this dark space of the void he had only but to think up a new Fantasia in order for it to appear once more — even more lush and beautiful than before.  And the more wishes he made for this new fantasy world to manifest into reality, the more amazing it would be (creating in the void/new paradigm energy).

Bingo!

Mourning the Passing of the Old World We Knew

I think this is where we are — in that void of infinite creation possibility.

“The old energy is what most of us grew up in — all the dreams and illusions of that paradigm are what we are familiar with.  Change and stepping out into the unfamiliar can be daunting but there is an electric anticipation sparking in the ether — can you feel it?”

However, we have had to turn around and look at the old paradigm and literally say our goodbyes.

We are now capable of stepping fully into the void/new manifestation zone and we are now having to fine-tune our desires, hopes and wishes for this new world to appear.

Nonetheless, saying farewell is never easy.  It can be a very gut and/or heart-wrenching experience.

The old energy is what most of us grew up in — all the dreams and illusions of that paradigm are what we are familiar with.

Change and stepping out into the unfamiliar can be daunting but there is an electric anticipation sparking in the ether — can you feel it?

Star Trekking Across the Universe — See You on the Bridge, Captain!

We are all about to boldly go where no man has gone before. But we know we have to shed that ‘old paradigm’ skin and there are also things we can’t take with us into Zion.

So the energy of late has been all about detaching from the material world and ego, confronting our fears, standing in our power and working through our karma to be able to take that leap of faith into the new world.

Put on your hiking boots ’cause we’ve got a bridge to cross!

Perhaps Cherie, the reason you are feeling disenchanted, is because magic is not real. Perhaps many New Agers are awakening to the painful reality, that simply wanting something to manifest, is simply not enough. New Agers believe that if they keep their minds in a bubble of warm, fuzzy feel good thoughts, that all will be well. The ascension of the 2012 prophecy has revealed the truth of our globalist mind control. That was what I thought would happen. We can not ascend until enough of humanity understands what is actually occurring. Staying safe in one’s cocoon of “positive thinking” will not prevent the onslaught of the globalists. I am astounded by how ignore rent most New Agers willfully continue to remain. It is like being in a freeway and affirming cars are not in existence. A big tip-off to me, how all these New Age “experts” are always clamoring for exorbitant fees for their “services”. If you dare, read the following article to discover how the New Age movement was hijacked. If New Agers truly care about Gaea and people , like they profess to do, then why aren’t more of them involved in activism?
New Ageism emerged in the 1970s. Conceptually derived from the New Thought Movement of the early 20th century – which culminated in the ‘New Age’ spirituality that spawned the likes of the Findhorn Foundation – as well as entwined with an emerging psychedelic counterculture and established neo-pagan subcultures, it nevertheless should be seen as a separate development with its own characteristics. The term New Ageism as used here should thus not be confused with these traditions, nor the Oriental Mysticism it often distorts, but rather be seen as a parasitic current within these streams, that due to its clever marketing and well connected promoters has now completely absorbed its host. With its dominant position in the alternative market and commercial media it now sets the agenda. A distinctly escapist one according to many, as well as one tainted with a rather self-centred attitude and faith in mainstream institutions. This article looks at one reason this state of affairs may have come about.

  2. Thanks for your comment — it’s always good to debate these issues. I agree with you to some extent — simply wishing for something to manifest is not enough, action is also required as are many other factors. Positive thinking is not all bad, in fact, it’s changed my life. There is no doubt, in my opinion, that positive thinking people have happier lives than those who are negative. But I do hear what you are saying — you can’t have your head stuck in the clouds all the time. There are certain truths we must face and in order to do that we need to ground ourselves as much as floating about on our fuzzy clouds. Balance is necessary. Yes, some ‘new agers’ are in worlds of their own but I, personally, know a lot of spiritual people who do put their money where their mouth is and are activists and bringers of change (and a lot of them do it pro bono). Of course you’ll find a lot of people capitalizing on the ‘new age’ concept but it is up to each individual to find their own feet — discernment and what resonates with you is personal. There is no ‘one rule fits all’. As for magic, well, I still believe in magic but not the kind where we ride on unicorns and poop candy-floss — for me synchronicity and telephathy (both of which a lot of people are experiencing in abundance since 2012) are forms of magic. Magic, like beauty and miracles, is in the eye of the beholder. Magic is the bridging of the unseen universe with our seen universe and that can take many shapes and forms. I read the article that you linked to your comment and I am aware of this — I also think everyone should read it too. It’s healthy to get different perspectives so we can make sense of it for ourselves. I think we live in an age of conspiracy and control and we should definitely be aware of what’s out there but we also need to use our personal discernment with the information or it can consume us. It’s really quiet simple. Think past all the names, be it ‘new age’, ‘zen’ or ‘christian’, and look straight at the action. Like you said, we should be walking the talk and not just cocooning ourselves in some wishful thinking bubble.
