Greece’s Leader Slams IMF For Intimidating Tactics

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras launched a scathing attack on the International Monetary Fund for rejecting Greek reform proposals ahead of talks in Brussels Wednesday, denting hopes of a final debt deal to prevent Athens from defaulting and leaving the euro. The leftist leader hit out at the “strange position” just minutes before going into an eleventh-hour meeting with key lenders including Christine Lagarde, the head of the IMF, and the European Union.

AT&T Hit with $100mn Fine After Slowing Down ‘Unlimited’ Data

AT&T hit with $100mn fine after slowing down ‘unlimited’ data The Federal Communications Commission hit telecommunications giant AT&T with a $100 million fine, the largest it has ever levied, for slowing down the internet speeds of customers with “unlimited” data plans. The company said it will fight the fine. Thousands of AT&T customers complained to the FCC about the issue, saying they noticed that when they had used up a certain amount of data watching movies or browsing the web, AT&T “throttled” their internet speeds so that they were much slower than normal. Millions of AT&T customers were affected by the practice. In a press release announcing the fine, the FCC said the company “severely slowed down the data speeds for customers with unlimited data plans” and “failed to adequately notify its customers that they could receive speeds slower than the normal network speeds AT&T advertised.”

Humans’ Built-in GPS is our 3-D Sense of Smell

Humans’ Built-in GPS is our 3-D Sense of Smell

Like homing pigeons, humans have a nose for navigation because our brains are wired to convert smells into spatial information, new research from the University of California, Berkeley, shows. While humans may lack the scent-tracking sophistication of, say, a search-and-rescue dog, we can sniff our way, blindfolded, toward a location whose scent we’ve smelled only once before, according to the UC Berkeley study published today (June 17) in the journal PLOS ONE.

This Just in: Emotional & Rational Brains ‘physically different’

Researchers at Monash University have found physical differences in the brains of people who respond emotionally to others’ feelings, compared to those who respond more rationally, in a study published in the journal NeuroImage. The work, led by Robert Eres from the University’s School of Psychological Sciences, pinpointed correlations between grey matter density and cognitive and affective empathy. The study looked at whether people who have more brain cells in certain areas of the brain are better at different types of empathy.

UK Royal Navy Submariner Discharged for Being Whistleblower

The Trident safety whistleblower, William McNeilly, says he has been dishonourably discharged from the Royal Navy to protect its public image. In a nine-page report posted online, the former nuclear submariner attacks “military deceivers” and naval “spin doctors” for downplaying his allegations about multiple safety and security lapses. “It is shocking that some people in a military force can be more concerned about public image than public safety,” he says. McNeilly has not been heard from since he handed himself in to the police at Edinburgh airport on 18 May, the day after his story broke. While absent without leave, he had posted a dossier online alleging 30 flaws on the submarines that carry Britain’s nuclear warheads and warning that Trident was “a disaster waiting to happen”.

Jeb Bush & His Candidacy Could Be Sunk by Classified 9/11 Secrets

As Jeb Bush geared up to announce his candidacy for President, rival Rand Paul fired a pre-emptive shot across Jeb’s bow: Senate Bill 1471, a companion to HR 14 declassifying the still-secret 28 pages of the 2002 Joint Congressional Inquiry into 9/11. According to former Senator Bob Graham (D-FL) and other informed sources, those pages show that the alleged 9/11 hijackers were funded by the Saudi government through its US embassy – which was headed by a Bush Crime Family “made man,” Prince Bandar, affectionately known as “Bandar Bush.”
Conclusion: the Bush Crime Family was running “9/11 hijackers.”

Bilderberg Meeting 2015: We Need You for a Special Prayer/Manifestation

Today [Saturday] is the third day of the four day Bilderberg meeting; this year in Austria…What we have to do is to put a spanner in their works. It has already leaked out into the public domain that the plans which will be detailed in this year’s meeting include the elimination of cash money in order to curtail freedom of movement as well as to eliminate
businesses which do not obey the cartels by preventing payments reaching them. Also on the agenda is to make accination compulsory as just too many people have learned that it is totally useless, has no scientific base and could never attain such.

TPP: Obama’s Asian Trade Deal Sells Out American Workers

Congress should not grant President Barack Obama authority to conclude another free trade agreement in Asia, because it would lower American wages and exacerbate income inequality. The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) would eliminate tariffs and lower other regulatory barriers to trade and investment among the United States, South Korea, Japan and nine other Pacific Rim nations. If successful, China, India and several other nations could seek membership. Hence, the TPP has the potential to redefine the rules for international commerce in the most rapidly growing region of the international economy, but President Obama has given ordinary workers good reason to believe he is not looking out for them.

Edward Snowden: The World Says No to Surveillance

TWO years ago today, three journalists and I worked nervously in a Hong Kong hotel room, waiting to see how the world would react to the revelation that the National Security Agency had been making records of nearly every phone call in the United States. In the days that followed, those journalists and others published documents revealing that democratic governments had been monitoring the private activities of ordinary citizens who had done nothing wrong.
