Being happy isn’t an elusive thing, but rather, it comes from cultivating good life habits in these four cornerstone areas: our emotions, physical body, relationships and spiritual life.
 
In this video, Brendon Burchard quickly and dynamically shares how you can improve in each area.
Emotional Life
 
You can have a better emotional life by learning how to maximize the past, present and future.
 
First, you need to fully accept the past and be grateful for all that has happened. It all has helped you to grow and be who you are in this moment.
 
Next, you need to be able to be present and engaged in this moment. Be passionate about what you’re doing. Do it fully in the now.
 
Finally, for a better emotional life, you need to look forward to the future. If you’ve allowed pessimism to cloud your view of what’s coming, it’s time to clean the windows of your perception and find your excitement anew. What can you get excited about? No matter how small it is, find or create something to which you can genuinely look forward.
 
Physical Wellness
 
We all know the sorts of things we need to do to be physically vibrant. The problem is not knowing, it’s doing.
 
Here are some things you need to be doing if you want to have healthy body.
 
1)   Get enough restful sleep.
2)   Drink plenty of water.
3)   Take breaks throughout your day.
4)   Work out several times a week.
5)   Get outside in nature more.
6)   Eat more greens (they add to your life by alkalizing your body).
7)   Avoid the foods that make you go up and down (sugar, coffee) – or just down (junk food or things to which you’re allergic).
 
Relationships
 
Relationships are a key area of happiness or dissatisfaction, so invest in your relationships – especially you’re primary one with your life partner. Do the simple things like appreciate your partner, be loving, always give him or her the benefit of the doubt.
 
Seek to have fun together and don’t ever think it’s the other person who is to blame. Remember, a relationship is a dance, if you don’t like the way yours is going, you can dance differently – you are an integral part of it.
 
Spiritual Life
 
Believing in something larger than yourself can be a significant source of happiness. What do you have faith in and how can you cultivate that spiritual relationship more regularly?
 
When you look at all these suggestions, you realize, they’re all about common sense. The question is not whether these ideas make sense, but whether you are actually doing them.
