I don’t know if I’ve shared this with you, but a few years ago I had this inner Knowing that I was going to write a book.

I had no idea how who was going to publish it and how it will all unfold, but what I Knew for sure was that I was going to write a book.

I Knew I was going to write a book and that the world’s largest book publisher was going to publish it, even though I had no idea who the world’s largest book publisher was at that time, and how in the world was that going to happen.

And with that inner Knowing, I started writing.

I started working on preparing ideas for my first book and in just a couple of months I received an email from the chief editor of Penguin Random House (Penguin merged with Random House a few months before which made them the biggest book publisher in the world) emailed me to see if I wanted, yes, you’ve guessed it, to write a book with them.

“Follow your bliss. If you do follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while waiting for you, and the life you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in the field of your bliss, and they open the doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be. If you follow your bliss, doors will open for you that wouldn’t have opened for anyone else.” ~ Joseph Campbell

How to Trust Yourself

I’ve come to a point in my life where I understand that life isn’t about learning anything new, but rather about unlearning all the nonsense we have learned so that we can remember the Truth of who we are and live our lives from that sacred and powerful place.

Here are 12 powerful ways to trust yourself and allow your inner Knowing to guide you through life:

1. Stop being so “busy”

We run around like crazy people doing so many things that have little or no importance at all. And because we are so busy being busy, we begin to think we have no time to be still. We have no time left to silence our minds and get in tune with our inner Truth, Knowing and Joy.

But we do.We really, really, really, really do!

2. Be still and Know

Take 5 – 10 minutes out of your busy schedule to just be still.

Close your eyes.

Take a few deep cleansing breaths and slow down your mind.

Listen to the sound of Silence.

Reconnect with the Truth of who you are and allow yourself to experience the Peace that is present underneath all that chaos and mental noise.

5 – 10 minutes…

That’s all it takes. Do this every day and you will notice a huge difference in the quality of your well-being and the level of Trust you have in yourself.

3. Nobody Knows more than you do

If you ask me, we place too much importance on what other people think, and not too much value on what we Know in our hearts to be true for us.

We ignore our Truth and Inner Knowing by making idols out of those who seem to be smarter and wiser than we are, and we fail to realize that nobody knows more about ourselves and our Life path than we Ourselves do.

You Know a lot more than you think, and you can tap into this Inner Knowing by learning to Trust yourself.
