In San Antonio, Texas, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips are being incorporated into school IDs. School officials claim that knowing where every student is at all times will significantly reduce the number of truancy cases. One student refused to participate, saying that the mandatory program was against her religion and claiming that the RFID chip was the “mark of the beast.”
