Audit the Fed recently took a step closer to becoming law, when it was favorably reported by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. Fed defenders did launch hysterical attacks on the bill during the debate as well as at a hearing on the bill. One representative claimed that auditing the Fed would result in rising interest rates, a stock market crash, a decline in the dollar’s value, and a complete loss of confidence in the US economy. Those who understand economics know that all of this is actually what awaits America unless we change our monetary policy.
Ron Paul: “It’s deeply troubling that so many in the news media and in both political parties attack the efforts of whistle-blowers and those who publish their revelations. These individuals risk it all, not for their own wealth and glory, but to inform us of what is being done to us and in our name. Their releases are both heroic and pro-American.”
Journalists from CNN, The New York Times, MSNBC, ABC, Bloomberg, and Guardian among others, were included in Dr. Paul’this list. The list has been described as ‘epic.’
Ron Paul has argued for years that returning to the gold standard as well as auditing and limiting the power of the Federal Reserve are essential if the United States is to improve its economic situation. Perhaps the most shocking part of Greenspan’s recent interview was his implicit admission that Paul has been right all along…
Instead of the financial drain of building a wall, federal government should end the drug war – which obviously does not reduce demand or supply – and allow the economy to thrive from a free market. Colorado is demonstrating how legalizing cannabis can bring a massive economic boost. The legal market also brings reputable providers to the table who deliver safe, quality products. And, contrary to drug war propagandists, teen cannabis use is actually declining.
We know a few things about what happened in Syria over the past five years. This was no popular uprising to overthrow a dictator and bring in democracy. From the moment President Obama declared “Assad must go” and approved sending in weapons, it was obvious this was a foreign-sponsored regime change operation that used foreign fighters against Syrian government forces.
The war on “fake news” has taken a chilling turn with efforts to label news and opinion sites of alternative news sources as peddlers of Russian propaganda. The main targets are critics of US interventionist foreign policy, proponents of a gold standard, critics of the US government’s skyrocketing debt, and even those working to end police militarization. All have been smeared as anti-American agents of Russia. Just last week, Congress passed legislation creating a special committee, composed of key federal agencies, to counter foreign interference in US elections. There have also been calls for congressional investigations into Russian influence on the elections. Can anyone doubt that the goal of this is to discredit and silence those who question the mainstream media’s pro-welfare/warfare state propaganda?
A recent report in the Washington Post claimed that a “sophisticated [Russian] propaganda campaign” has been propagating fake news through outlets that include the Ron Paul Institute. Ron Paul fires back as to the real source of fake news.
Election 2016. What will change and what won’t change after today’s vote? Foreign policy? Fed? Media? Congressional authority? Economy? Ron Paul and Daniel McAdams offer their predictions (including some positives).
“The elections don’t matter. This is a ritual that we go through,” Paul observed last week. Instead, he referenced a seemingly omnipotent power much more influential than the ‘will of the people.’
Ron Paul spoke about rigged elections from personal experience. In 2012, when he ran for president, he was silenced by the media and the political establishment. “The elections don’t matter. This is a ritual that we go through,” Paul observed last week. Instead, he referenced a seemingly omnipotent power much more influential than the ‘will of the people: “My belief is that the control is the Deep State, and people have to realize that”.
Regarding the Brexit vote, Ron Paul said: ““Other countries are watching….This is the beginning of the end of the European Union…and nobody is going to suffer from that. Only the wealthy, banking, special interests will suffer any from this.”
Can we get out of a central bank that finances the wars that make us less safe? Can we exit Executive Orders? Can we exit the surveillance state? The PATRIOT Act? Can we exit NDAA and indefinite detention? Can we exit the US worldwide drone program that kills innocents overseas and makes us ever-more hated?
When Washington seeks to enact reforms, they often make the original problem worse, and are doing the same thing with the NSA ‘reforming’ USA Freedom Act, former Representative Ron Paul told Larry King. “I think the reform act [for NSA surveillance] is very very dangerous,” Paul said. “It’s not a slight improvement as some people argue.”
