Are Sunscreens Causing Cancer and Killing Coral Reefs?

Is sunscreen hazardous to your health?

A recent guest on the radio show and podcast Coast to Coast AM with George Noory, Elizabeth Plourde turned the dermatalogical world on its head by suggesting that sunscreens actually did more harm than good in protecting humans from harmful sun rays as well as do damage to coral reefs and sea life.  She went as far as to say sunscreens may be causing cancer rather than preventing it.  Sunscreen prevents the creation of vitamin D which the human body uses to prevent many diseases.  Other chemicals in the sunscreen such as fragrances and petroleum products act on the immune system and may be carcinogenic as well.  As if that wasn’t enough scientific research has determined that chemicals in sunscreens cause damage to coral reefs and may end up in our drinking water.

I have been reading many articles like this one saying the same thing…hummm
this is a difficult decision—burn to a crisp or become sick…
Recently, I bought clothing that is suppose to protect you from harmful UVA & UVB rays. Now, I know why (in the old days) people wore so much clothing.
