_Featured_, Environment, Featured Videos Sunday, October 9th, 2011
On October 4th 2011, 28 – 30 dolphins were brutally killed in Taiji. One dolphin was taken away for a life of captivity. The annual drive hunt takes place every year In Taiji from the beginning of September to the end of March. Dolphin meat is highly toxic in mercury and dangerous for human consumption. Please watch the Cove movie. This documentary covers all aspects of what goes on in Taiji, from the slaughter, to the captivity and mercury issues.
To stop this insanity, do not support any dolphin shows as this is how Taiji fishermen make the most profit by selling dolphins to dolphinariums and others killed by the hundreds for meat which is high in toxic levels of mercury.
