Charity on the menu at the Soul Kitchen
A new breed of restaurant recently opened up in Red Bank, New Jersey where patrons can donate what they can for their meal and if they can’t they can volunteer to help in the kitchen or the gardens. The restaurant was made possible by rocker John Bon Jovi who also hails from New Jersey. He and his wife plan to open Soul Kitchens across the country.
The kitchen brings in food from the local community garden and purchases the rest at Whole Foods. This is a great option for those on a tight budget to eat healthy and not feel they have to buy junk food.
