In this brilliant TED talk, Jared King asks you carefully consider how you plan to spend your working life.   Each of us, during the course of our lives, is going to spend about 81,000 hours at work.  Such a huge number. So, it’s no surprise that the choices that you make in terms of the people that we work with, and the actual work that we do has a profound impact on the quality of our lives.  And, not just the quality for us as individuals.  Work is really important at a broader, societal level.

Jared has worked deep in the Amazon jungle, constructed Eco-Centers in Costa Rica, flown into the Great Canadian North to plant 150,000 trees by hand, hitch-hiked half way across the world and crunched numbers as a statistician and cut his chops as a consultant. Now, as the Co-founder of an employment communications agency, Jared passionately spends his days producing insanely creative ideas to attract talent, recruit more efficiently and engage the workforce.
