Recently on The Dylan Ratigan Show (MSNBC), Dylan Ratigan unleashed an epic rant about the U.S. debt and our “bought” Congress. Ratigan criticized both Republicans and Democrats for failing to propose long-term solutions to America’s mounting debt. Said Ratigan:
“We’ve got a real problem…this is a mathematical fact. Tens of trillions of dollars are being extracted from the United States of America. Democrats aren’t doing it, Republicans aren’t doing it, an entire integrated system, banking, trade and taxation, created by both parties over a period of two decades is at work on our entire country right now.“
The Dylan Ratigan Show is one of the highest-rated daytime shows on MSNBC. Ratigan’s rant has been compared to that of fictional news anchor Howard Beale in the 1976 TV news drama Network:
