Healing Our Lives and Our World by Answering Seven Important Questions

Pat Kammer

Pat Kammer

This might possibly be the most important Patter I have ever written.   It is based on the new book by Neale Donald Walsch titled “The Storm Before the Calm,” in which Walsch provides a formula for healing our lives and our world by answering seven simple questions.  The seven questions and my answers to the questions appear below.

Walsch’s desire is that the people around the world will ask themselves the seven questions and to think for themselves.  To facilitate global discussions, he has created a website called “The Global Conversation” (theglobalconversation.com), for people to contribute their thoughts. (For more about “The Global Conversation”, see the video at the end of this article.)

The Seven Questions:

1. There are seven billion people on this planet, all wanting the same things (health, wealth, peace, love, happiness etc.). Why is it that most of the world’s population is not seeing their desires being granted?

(Are you willing to allow a new thought to filter into your mind in answer to this question?)

2. Are we misunderstanding something important about God?

3. Are we misunderstanding something important about ourselves?

4. Who am I?

5. Where am I?

6. Why am I here?

7. What am I going to do about it?

The answers to these questions can transform your life. Of course, Walsh took an entire book to answer them.

My Answers to the Questions

My answers below are just that.  They are MY answers based upon MY understanding at this moment, which is ever increasing.  What I see at this moment has come from many, many years of study and inner reflection. It is MY truth as of this NOW moment and can change at any time.

YOUR truth in this NOW moment may be different than mine, perhaps vastly different from mine.    And that is quite OK.  I am not asking you to believe in my answers, just consider them.  Likewise, do not blindly believe anything that you have been told is “the truth.”

Remember what Albert Einstein said about blindly believing authority: “Blind belief in authority is the greatest enemy of the truth.”  So, question everything (including this article).  Get heart centered (by thinking of something that makes you smile), ask a question, then go within to receive the answer.

My Answer to Question #1 (There are 7 billion people on this planet, all wanting the same things.  Why are most of the world’s population not seeing their desires being granted?):

The first question mentions the word “wanting” as most people are very focused on their wants and needs.  Who can blame them?  The problem is so in your face. They cry out for a better life and wonder, isn’t God listening?  But, wanting only looks at what is, which is an illusion, and not what can be.

We always put off the vision of a better life into some future moment, while hoping that vision will eventually arrive.  Hope is a perspective, ideal vision, or carrot dangling, and for the moment keeps people satisfied that someday things will get better.

Meanwhile, humans are all left wanting and waiting for the mercy of God to take pity on humanity who is suffering from lack, illness, oppression, and deep unhappiness because of the cruelty of man against man. What is up with this God?

My answer to question # 1 is short and incomplete, but my answers to the remaining questions should clear things up considerably.

Answer to Question #2 (Are we misunderstanding something important about God?):

The beliefs that humans have about God boarders on insanity, and accounts for much of the suffering and lack in our world. The belief that God judges our bad behavior and condemns us to place called hell if we don’t measure up is ludicrous. Those that believe this fallacy spend a large portion of their lives worried about going to hell while trying to make sure that they are good enough to earn a future ticket to a place called heaven. Many people have devoted their entire life to fearing God’s wrath and trying their best to avoid damnation.

There are over 2000 religions, plus countless deities and messengers. The books proclaiming to contain “the truth” include the Holy Scriptures, Bahgavad Gita, Book of Mormon, I Ching, Mahahoratha, Talamud, Qur’an, The Tao Te Ching, Torah, and Pali Canon. The messengers include Jesus, Moses, Abraham, Noah, Buddha, Muhammad, Patanjahi, Baha’a llah, Rumi, etc. on and on we go.

I am not saying that there is anything wrong with any of the religions, books, or messengers. What is wrong is that we are told if pick the wrong God or the wrong messenger or don’t abide by all of the rules of the religion, then we will go to hell or we are somehow a lesser being. This is to put us in a constant state of fear, so that we do what we are told to do by the religious authorities.

Fortunately, things are changing.  There is a shift in consciousness that is happening right now that is unlike any in human history.  We are finally challenging our long held beliefs and letting go of fear.  We are beginning to think instead of blindly believing what we have been told. It’s about time!

God cannot go against God’s own nature of pure light and unconditional love towards all of life.   God has no need to judge or punish anyone. God has no need to be feared or worshiped.

God does not show partiality towards one person over another, one race over another, or one religion over another.  So, there is no need to be competitive, kill, or go to war over religious differences (or any other differences for that matter).

You don’t have to seek God.  We are never separate from Divine Source. God is always within us.

God is always in the NOW moment. God knows only love and truth and not the illusions of what we call time.

God knows only perfection and creates only perfection. God loves us unconditionally as we are created in God’s image: perfect.

The more we understand how God operates, the richer our lives will be.

It is impossible to know God entirely. We can only understand how to remove blocks to love’s presence.

Judgment blocks love. Worry blocks love.  Fear blocks love. Distrust blocks love. Not knowing who you are blocks love. Feeling separate blocks love.

Answer to Question #3 (Are we misunderstanding something important about ourselves?):

Understanding who we are is crucial to attracting the life we desire. People also live in fear of being in disfavor of their God. Understand that you need do nothing to prove yourself worthy of God’s favor in order to manifest your desires.

People generally see themselves as separate beings – separate from one another and separate from God. Therefore most people also believe that they have to compete with all other beings for the things that they want or for divine intervention on their part.

Fear/ego drives the masses.

Believing in a wrathful God keeps people in perpetual fear. This isn’t what God intends for anyone. People are brainwashed and mind controlled into being followers of the sheep in front of them. Most mindlessly do what they are told to do and believe what the controlled media tells them is the truth.

There are so many voices of authority, and so many religions, all wanting to keep you believing that you are powerless. It is time to stop following mindlessly, wake up, think for yourself, and realize that you are powerful being.

What is truth? I believe that truth is LOVE…not fear. I believe that all comes from the One Source we call God, and is already yours because you are not separate from God.

Answer to Question #4 (Who am I?):

Both you and I are Divine beings. Many reject this notion as being sacrilegious and heretical, because you have been told as much.  My intent here is not to offend anyone.  My prayer is that for those of you that believe that you are less than Divine beings, at least consider the possibility that your belief is based solely upon what you have been told, and what you have been told might possibly be untrue.

Again, I suggest that you get heart centered (by thinking of something that makes you smile), ask if it’s true that you are a Divine being, then go within to receive the answer.

Note that I don’t mean that as Divine beings, that we are the Creator. We are a teensy speck of the Divine Oneness.

We are created in His image. God only creates perfection. If there is imperfection, then who created it?

Being one with God and one with each other means that there is no need for competition or feeling unworthy.  We are not damaged goods. We are a perfect as God made us.

We need do nothing to warrant God’s favor. We need do nothing to be granted all our desires.

We can now see God as a friend, and not as an enemy.

Until you see yourself as worthy of all that God offers, you keep all that God offers at arm’s length.

Answer to Question #5 (Where am I?):

I am in the arms of God. I am in a dream, watching a DVD of life I have created.

Answer to Question #6 (Why am I here?):

I am allowing God to experience me through me, discovering and unfolding my totality of love and truth.

Answer to Question #7 (What am I going to do about it?):

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things are added unto you.

I go to the core of my being daily and often moment to moment.

This is the final answer for the seven billion souls looking for answers to their prayers.

The answers are NOT outside of you. The answers are in you, at the core of your being from which all energy flows. The One is in you. Go inside for your answers. Go within for fulfillment of all there is.

So be it and so it is.
