It was previously revealed by WikiLeaks that Monsanto has key figureheads in powerful government positions inside the United States, but what’s more interesting is that Monsanto has many — if not all — U.S. diplomats on their payroll.

You are absolutely right about abandoning rather than complaining about the major media outlets. The same must be done with our food supply. Monsanto and the USDA are never going to change. The solution is replacing that food supply with a local organic one. I know that this is not an option for many people who live in virtual food deserts. But it can become an option when we develop programs for community and urban agriculture capable of feeding local populations. I understand that Monsanto is a dangerous force and cannot simply be allowed to continue polluting the global gene pool. That being said I think that fighting for regulation or banning of GMO crops in the country in which it is a financial giant is not going to go very far. We need to defund this giant through modification of eating habits and development of local agriculture.
