		<description><![CDATA[Thanks for raising this excellent question Jeff. First off, I did not post yesterday&#039;s article (which I believe was about survival preparedness). We have a staff of curators and contributors, and sometimes they will present differing views for your consideration and discernment. 

That being said, the use of bleach in an emergency survival situation is very different from daily household use. A few drops of bleach per gallon of water will sanitize and render it potable, however it is far from ideal in the long term. If circumstances demand it, you CAN drink water that contains small and highly diluted amounts of bleach. But because of the numerous health risks associated, it is inadvisable to use pure undiluted bleach in your daily cleaning, or to breathe the fumes.
