CNN: We Are in the Business of Kicking Candidates Out of the Race
_Featured_, Featured Videos, Politics Monday, August 15th, 2011
This short video shows establishment media talking heads on CNN discrediting the of viability Ron Paul’s campaign for the presidency, despite the fact that he finished second to Michele Bachmann in Saturday’s Ames straw poll by a very small margin. After pointing out that Paul virtually tied for first in the straw poll, Politico’s Roger Simon said the that “the media doesn’t believe he has a hoot in hells chance of winning the Iowa caucuses, the Republican nomination or winning the presidency, so we’re gonna ignore him.” This appears to be an attempt to derail Paul’s campaign by creating the impression that he has no chance of winning. Host Howard Kurtz boasted that, “We are in the business of kicking candidates out of the race.”
