On Monday at 6:15 a.m. EST, the moon will be its closest at a mere 356,509 kilometers (221,524 miles) from Earth. But Sunday night and Monday night are also really good times to see Earth’s natural satellite. NASA says that Earth could be bathed in 30 percent more moonlight during this supermoon.
Hawking is spearheading an £81million project to find out whether aliens are responsible for the mysterious behavior of a star called KIC8462852, or Tabby’s Star. Tabby’s Star can be seen dimming in regular cycles which some analysts say is a sign of a Dyson Sphere – a hypothetical structure which could be used by an alien race to harness energy.
Planet 9—a massive undiscovered planet at the edge of the solar system that was predicted by the work of Caltech’s Konstantin Batygin and Mike Brown in January 2016—appears to be responsible for the unusual tilt of the sun, according to a new study.

Whether aliens come to us or we begin colonizing outer space, according to Stephen Hawking, they might be more like us than we imagine — and that’s a threat to our survival.
Learn some sweet facts about this full moon that falls closest to the Autumnal Equinox.
The notion that humanity might be living in an artificial reality — a simulated universe — seemed sophomoric, at best science fiction. It’s like the movie “The Matrix,” Bostrom said, except that “instead of having brains in vats that are fed by sensory inputs from a simulator, the brains themselves would also be part of the simulation. It would be one big computer program simulating everything, including human brains down to neurons and synapses.”
Two students from Al-Azhar University in the center of Gaza are redefining energy limitations that have plagued the area for years. Working with the institute’s Mechatronics Engineering Department, Khalid al-Bardawil and Jamal al-Miqaty, who are engineering students, have created a vehicle that runs off solar panels on its roof with a very limited budget.
Did you know that planets and stars actually give off music? Although space is a virtual vacuum, this does not mean there is no sound in space. Sounds still exists in the form of electromagnetic vibrations and can be detected using specially designed instruments developed by NASA.
Science works best when in harmony with nature. If we put these two together, we can discover great technologies that can only come about when the consciousness of the planet is ready to embrace them.
