But I didn’t describe the movement of the 3rd chakra as well as I could have, so I will elaborate a bit here. What matters most about your sacred space is that it speak to you, and you may even come to find that you multi-task in this space in that you may not only meditate, but also write, draw, make music, etc. Whatever you are into, what is important is that it works for YOU and is a space that you are most comfortable in.
The 3rd chakra resides in the solar plexus. With its element being fire, it’s the home of your passion and zest for life, as well as your charisma, leadership abilities, courage and “can do” attitude. It is also the seat of your personal power and energy.
the root chakra which is the red energy located in your tailbone area that governs your legs and feet and is related to your stability, home, foundation, family, career and finances. It is the manifestation center, so it’s about everything physical, especially your body. Also it’s your most base energy center, so it is carries your will to survive and its element is earth and your sense of smell.
There are literally thousands of ways you can “heal” and “balance” your chakras. Meditation and visualization are both very popular choices, sound is another good method, sight is yet another (using yantras or mandalas), and smell works really well too – it’s called aromatherapy. Yoga is another very popular way to work on your chakras, and I could go on as the list is too long to recite.
A movement known as “grounding” or “earthing” is sweeping the holistic health scene. Walking barefoot outside, with the soles of your feet free to directly connect with the surface of the earth, is the main activity that’s a part of the earthing or grounding practice. While it might sound strange at first — ditching your shoes and digging your toes into the dirt or sand, or strolling across some pesticide-free grass — there’s evidence that this can be greatly beneficial for health by lowering free radical damage(also called “oxidative stress”), stress, inflammation and pain.
The 6th chakra is the home of feminine intuition, that deep knowingness that women have that surpasses — or bypasses, depending on how you feel about it — mere logic.
